About Bricco Maiolica
'Our wines are made exclusively with grapes from our vineyards.’ Bepe Accomo
Bepe Accomo’s Bricco Maiolica has been in the same family since 1928. The farm is located on a steep hill called ‘Maiolica’ in Diano D’Alba in the heart of Piedmont. Dolcetto were the first grapes planted in 1928, followed by Barbera in 1930.
Bepe’s grandfather, Guiseppe, had a passion for tannin in wines, so began to cultivate Nebbiolo in 1950. Bepe’s father Angelo began to plant white wine grapes in 1970. Now a 3rd generation winemaker, Bepe is continuing what his great-grandfather started. The family now has 20 hectares under vine. The wines are artisan in style.
